This guitar is from the first batch ever produced, with “A” series serial number in the 0030’s! In the early 1980’s Gibson attempted to pay homage to the famous models of the 1950’s with the famed and highly collectible “Heritage” series. This model commemorated the 30thanniversary of the 1952 debut of the Les Paul model offered initially as a goldtop. Features of this particular model include Tim Shaw humbucking pickups, one piece body and 3 piece neck with no volute. Neck profile between 50 and 60's, closer to 59.
The beautiful goldtop finish is in factory condition. No checking, scratches or dings. Hardware is shiny and extremely clean with only a hint of aging. Frets do not have appreciable wear. Age related binding changes at some frets. Neck straight. No breaks or repairs. All original.
Weight 9.7 lbs. Original hardshell case  is in comparable relatively unused condition.
